About Me:
Dr. Veenu Maan has done her basic medical education MBBS, MS Ophthalmology (Gold Medalist) from Uttar Pradesh. Post her MS, she worked as a Senior Resident/Registrar at J.P.C. Hospital, Govt. of NCT of Delhi for 3 Years (2011-2014). Dr. Veenu has also worked as a Consultant in Noida before moving to CLGEI for a short term PHACO Fellowship. She has also done short term surgical trainings at Venu Eye Institute, Delhi & I-care Eye Hospital, Noida. She pursued a Long-Term Fellowship (Feb 2015-Feb 2017) in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus & Neuro-Ophthalmology at CLGEI. During this period, she did numerous Pediatric /Adult cataract & Squint Surgeries, also dealt with challenging Neuro Ophthalmology cases. She has also presented oral Scientific Papers / Posters at National & International Conferences. February 2017 onwards, Dr Veenu continues as a Consultant at CLGEI. During the initial year of her consultancy, she did short term training in Pediatric Ophthalmology/Pediatric cataract surgery mentored by Professor Dr. Alex.V. Levin, Chief, Pediatric Ophthalmology & Ocular Genetics, Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, USA. She has her research work published in National & International peer reviewed journals. Dr Veenu is also an Editorial Board Member and is a Reviewer for few International Journals of Ophthalmology. She has been an Invited Faculty for talks & presentations at State & National Conferences. She was felicitated as/in Young Achiever’s session in Uttarakhand State Conference in 2017. Dr Veenu’s prime areas of interest and specialization are- Pediatric & Adult Cataract (Micro Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery), Squint Management (Horizontal/ Vertical Strabismus) & Neuro-Ophthalmology (Optic Neuritis, Nystagmus, Nerve palsy management).
