Aamna severely visually Impaired but full of life

Parents of five-year old Aarushi till a few years back, was very concerned about squinting of Her squinting of eyes and blurred vision had always reminded her parents that their child is not normal and sometimes she is bullied also in her peers due to squinting. Aarushi belonged to a poor family residing in Naya Gaun Gautam Nagar village in Moradabad district of U.P, and life was not easy for her and her family. On the advice of a well-wisher, she was brought to C L Gupta Eye Institute, Moradabad, where she was diagnosed with congenital Squint and refractive error. Squint surgery for children requires high expertise and needs to be performed under anesthesia. As part of CLGEI's constant endeavour to make advance eye care available all these in need, Dr. Pradeep Agarwal, Head - Pediatric Ophthalmology was done squint surgery for her eyes and gradually her squint disappear, and since she was also having blurry vision which was corrected by a pair of spectacles. Now the little girl happily goes to school and enjoys playing with her friends. This timely intervention not only help in making her eyes free from squint but also save her from amblyopia (an irreversible form of vision loss).
